Today, the issue of security and especially social security in metropolitan areas is one of the major problems in the process of urban development. This phenomenon, like other social phenomena, is affected by several factors. Neighboring relations can be mentioned as one of the effective factors on the level of social security among citizens, especially metropolitan residents. Neighborhood is one of the most important issues in the social field that has become very widespread today. Due to the importance of the issue, this study tries to examine the neighborhood relations and its impact on citizens' sense of social security. In this research, survey research technique has been used. The statistical population of the present study includes all residents of Tabriz. The data collection tool was a questionnaire and the sample size in this study was 400 people, which was estimated by Cochran's formula. SPSS21 software was used to analyze the collected data with a questionnaire. Findings indicate that there is a significant correlation between the variables of the dimensions of neighborhood relations and the feeling of social security.
