Study of youth social laziness and its role in sustainable development (Case study: Tehran youth)

This study aims to identify the level of social laziness of young people in Tehran as an obstacle to sustainable development and the factors affecting it. For this purpose, among various factors and variables, individual and family characteristics of young people and social support, including: emotional support, financial support, service support, counseling support, interview support and information support were selected as independent variables. The research method in this research is survey and the data collection tool is a questionnaire with structural validity. The statistical population is young people aged 18 to 35 in Tehran. The statistical sample size was calculated using Cochran's formula of 400 people. Research findings show that the level of social laziness is moderate. There is a significant relationship between age, gender and the level of family social support with the level of laziness of young people.Social laziness is an obstacle to the spontaneous and effective participation of young people in society and this issue plays a negative and important role in the process of sustainable development.
