Prioritization of Physical and Social Security Elements of Women's Urban Spaces
The aim of this research is to study the performance of women's urban spaces in providing physical and social security in comparison to other urban public spaces and to find differences in prioritizing noteworthy indexes in providing security in these two types of spaces. For this aim, two cases of study were selected in the city of Qazvin, including Narges Lady Park and Mellat Public Park. The descriptive-survey research method was selected and the data collection tool was a researcher made questionnaire and observation. The statistical population consisted of the users of Narges Lady Park, who had the familiarity and experience of being in both urban spaces; besides, the sample size is 354 people based on Cochran's model, selected by simple random sampling. Data analysis was done using independent two-sample t-test in SPSS software. Furthermore, due to the comparative nature of the research, the gap analysis technique was chosen to prepare the questionnaire and analyze the data. The results of the research revealed that the existence of a gap between the physical and social factors of security in women's urban spaces and public urban spaces. This gap is mainly inferred in the visibility component as well as indexes such as access, lighting, legibility of entrances, and the possibility of holding events.
