Abstract:

One of the doubts of the Shia opponents is the issue of the non-possession of the Imam during his absence and its incompatibility with the necessity of the presence of the Imam at all times. And the brief answer is: First, where did you find this knowledge of non-possession? Can we deny their existence simply because we are unaware of Imam's possessions? Secondly, this lack of possession of the absent Imam - assuming it is proven - is not documented by him, but due to external factors that have no effect on his imamate, nor is it necessary. In the words of Khwaja Tusi: The existence of an Imam is the grace of God, the possession of another Imam is a grace and his absence is because of us. Thirdly, according to Aqla, there is no connection between absence and non-possession, but it is possible for someone to have various actions during absence, but due to his absence, his actions remain hidden from our view and perception. In this article, the various dimensions of this debate have been discussed in detail.
