Representation of Ibn Hussam Khosafi's views in KhavaranNameh about the Ascension of the Prophet And compare it with the views of Anne-Marie Schimmel

The most important figure among Muslims is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In this regard, his biography has been discussed in many works. The popularity and greatness of the character of the Imam can be seen in literary texts, including the epistle of Ibn Hussam Khosafi. Before entering the main speech, the poet has dedicated verses to the representation of the life of the Imam, such as the representation of Ascension. This issue has also been considered by Western Islamologists. Anne-Marie Schimmel has spoken about the ascension of the Prophet and its quality based on the Qur'an and hadiths in several studies. In the present study, first Ibn Hussam Khosafi's view of Ascension has been studied with regard to Quranic verses and the views of Shiite commentators and then compared with Schimmel's views. The results of this research, which has been compiled based on library sources and descriptive-analytical method, show that both personalities emphasize the spiritual and physical dimensions of Ascension. Also, in their view, the process of ascension has had a celestial and heavenly nature. The difference between Khosafi and Schimmel's approach is that according to Shiite beliefs, the poet of KhavaranNameh excludes the view of the essence of God by the Prophet in the event of Ascension and limits it to seeing the divine attributes, but Schimmel is influenced by opinions. Sunni commentators and mere citations to some verses of the Qur'an, without flexibility, make it possible for Muhammad to see the essence of God and emphasize it.
