A meta-analysis of women's political participation and the factors affecting it (1980s and 1990s)
Political participation is considered vital in civic development, change in political values, promotion of socio-economic status (status) of women. In Iran, women's participation was key for the first time after the 1979 revolution, and participation in the election of councils, representatives, government cabinet levels, and important institutions has made women's political participation an important issue in the political system. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to meta-analyze the research conducted on the factors affecting women's political participation.
The research method is meta-analysis. The tool was published studies in the period 1387 to 1400 that from 21 statistical populations, 14 samples were selected by purposive methods. Comprehensive meta-analysis (CMA) software was used to analyze the collected information.
The results show that psychological factors (0.132), cultural factors (0.268), family factors (0.180), social factors (0.269), political factors (0.184) and economic factors (0.204) had a significant effect on women's political participation and In total, the overall effect coefficient is equal to 0.238.
