Investigation of executive priorities in improving the quality of life in Rasht metropolis

Abstract:
The main purpose of this study was to identify the executive priorities in order to improve the quality of life in the metropolis of Rasht. In this regard, first, based on theoretical research studies, indicators related to quality of life, including 57 indicators in seven dimensions, were extracted. Afterthe status of these indicators in two sections was examined. In the first part, citizens' satisfaction with the quality of life indicators in the Likert scale was evaluated. The results of this part of the study were analyzed using t-test. In the second part, the relative importance and weight of quality of life indicators were determined using AHP model and experts’ opinions. Finally, a two-dimensional and integrated analysis of these indicators was performed. The result of this two-dimensional analysis was the determination of executive priorities. In fact, executive priorities were defined as indicators that are of great importance to experts and at the same time the citizens have low satisfaction about them.Finally, after determining the level of satisfaction and weighting the quality of life indicators, two-dimensional analysis and identification of executive priorities were done in order to improve the quality of life in the metropolis of Rasht. The results showed that the 13 indicators such asHousing rent, Access to public transportation, Income and living expenses, Satisfaction with subsidy status and Environmental hygiene and street cleanliness have the highest priority to improve the quality of life of Rasht citizens.
