The role of social responsibility of sports organizations in Iran through social networks in the Covid-19 pandemic

The aim of this study was to investigate the social responsibility of sports organizations in Iran during the outbreak of coronavirus through social networks. The research method was exploratory research (qualitative and quantitative), which is why purposeful sampling was used and 24 organizations were selected among sports organizations. The tool used in this study was the study of documents of sports organizations in the field of social responsibility. The data analysis findings was reviewed using content analysis method in both qualitative and quantitative dimensions. The results of the quantitative section show that sports organizations have used the website space more in times of crisis and to inform the public. The results in the qualitative dimension also indicate that sports organizations have focused more on observing health protocols and charitable assistance in order to play the role of social responsibility. Therefore, the results of the research in general show that sports organizations in Iran at the time of the outbreak of coronavirus were not unaware of the issue of social responsibility, but promoted the dominance of social networks and its optimal use.
