The Relationship between Communication Patterns and Family Emotional Atmosphere with Academic Vitality of High school Students Mediated by Academic Resilience

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between communication patterns and family emotional atmosphere with academic vitality mediated by students' academic resilience. The present study was a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population of the study was all high school students in Qazvin in the academic year 1399-1400. The statistical sample consisted of 387 high school students in Qazvin who were selected using available sampling. The Fitzpatrick and Ritchie (1994) Family Pattern Communication Patterns Questionnaire, the Hillburn Family Emotional Questionnaire (1964), Hossein Chari and Dehghanizadeh (2014) Academic Vitality Questionnaire, and the Samuels (2004) Academic Resilience Questionnaire were used to collect data. The data analysis method was structural equation modeling that all analyzes were performed using SPSS26 and AMOS24 software. Findings showed that the structural relationship between communication patterns and emotional atmosphere of the family with academic vitality through the mediation of students' academic resilience is appropriate. The results of direct relations between the research variables in the final model show that in the whole sample all path coefficients except the orientation of compliance with academic resilience were statistically significant. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the relationship between communication patterns and emotional atmosphere of the family with academic vitality is appropriate due to the role of academic resilience.
