The Advantages and Disadvantages of Language from the View of Nahj al-Balagha and the Supreme Leader

Language is one of the great blessings given to mankind. It is the most important way to connect humans to each other and the great tool to express the desires of the heart. In other words, before whatever imprints on the page of soul, it shows itself on the page of language and in the sayings. Despite the smallness of language, it creates a big responsibility for a person, because it has a big duty and defines the border between disbelief and faith. This descriptive-analytical research aims to explain the advantages and disadvantages of language from the view of Nahj al-Balagha and the Supreme Leader using library written sources. According to the findings, backbiting, lying, cursing, blaming unnecessarily, disclosing, and dissimulating are some of the disadvantages of language, and honesty, moderation in speech, secrecy, preaching, prayer and thanksgiving, judgment, openness, and speaking carefully are some of the advantages of language.
