Analysis of the Relationship Between Political Costs in Industrial and Mining Companies of Tehran Stock Exchange with the Quality of Information with Emphasis on the Role of Regulatory Mechanisms: Structural Equation Approach

Abstract:
The quality and accuracy of information of listed companies is an important factor that many regulatory mechanisms in the Tehran Stock Exchange have been considered for this concept. Companies with political affiliations tend to be more confidential in disclosing their financial information. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between political costs and information quality with emphasis on the role of regulatory criteria for companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. For this purpose, the financial information of 127 companies during the years 1390 to 1398 and using the structure analysis method was used. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the criteria of political cost and information quality and it can also be said that the criteria of the governance system as regulatory and intervening variables have a significant effect on the relationship between political cost and information quality.
