The Study of Maladjustment of Child Character/Hero in the Fictional Works of Jalal Al-e Ahmad (Minarets and Firmament, My Sister and the Spider and Auspicious Celebration)

Realistic stories are the dominant feature of contemporary fiction.Al-e Ahmad has been one of the most prolific writers in the field of realistic fiction, who has always expressed his criticism and objection of the current situation through various fiction works.The most important element of his stories are the characters who protest against what is going on around them and somehow have maladjusted behaviors with their associations. This characteristic can be seen even in the child and teenager heroes of Al-e Ahmad stories. In this article, the characteristics of maladjusted characters in child and teenager heroes are explained and analyzed. Hero/narrator in these stories cannot show his sympathy and empathy in the company of family and friends. According to this, his dissatisfaction and protest constantly manifests itself in the form of maladjusted behavior. Abbas is the protagonist of a story that constantly blames others in the family and, of course, he is being upbraid by his parents too. Al-e Ahmad’s spirits and thoughts and his personality traits (protester, criticizer and somewhat maladjusted) are clearly seen in these stories. Based on this, the child hero can be considered as a copy of the author who conveys the kind of his political and cultural views and thoughts to the reader. Of course, in some cases, the author’s childhood memories and experiences are told in the form of story.
