Explaining the Components of Iranian-Islamic Culture from the Point of View of Cultural Elites: A Case Study with a Ualitative Approach in Tehran University of Medical Sciences
of intellectual, ideological and moral transformation and the place of supply of new scientific and human values, is of great importance. Therefore, current research was aimed to explain the Iranian-Islamic culture components from the point of view of cultural elites with a qualitative approach.
The current research was conducted qualitatively with in-depth semi-structured interviews and with 15 elites and current and former cultural managers in Tehran University of Medical Sciences. In order to measure validity and reliability in this research, credibility, transferability, dependability and consistency, and conformability were used. In the line with the acceptability and homogeneity of the coding of the findings, the method of external peer check and case study were used. Data analysis was done through thematic content analysis strategy using MAXQDA software.
Regarding maximum variation, most of the participatants were single, married, Ph.D in health and basic medical sciences, and worked in schools of Public Health and Medicine. After conducting and implementing of interview, 157 cultural and organizational culture components were identified and categorized into 17 main components and 140 secondary components.
The inviewees’ point of view in the current study was able to explain of this integrated culture in this university. Therefore, it is expected that the results of this research will be able to establish the Iranian-Islamic culture by using these extracted components to make the cultural councils at the line and staff level more dynamic.
