Abstract:
Abu al-Qasim Fazl bin Mohib Neishaburi, the Sheikh, Imam and preacher of the 5th century AH in Neishabur had several written products, among which is his collection of majalis, generally mentioned in manuscript indexes as majalis or interpretive majalis. These have not been corrected so far. The present paper aims to introduce this manuscript and its content analysis. The introduction of Fazl bin Mohib's interpretive councils, written in Persian, is important in terms of calligraphy and historical order of the Persian language, as well as the history of exegesis and exegetical methods. In this descriptive-analytical study, besides introducing interpretive councils, the content and methodology have also been studied. Also, the present paper makes a comparative analysis of Fazl bin Mohib's exegetical Majlis with that of al-Fusul Abd al-Wahhab Hanafi (early 5th century), Lab al-Lab Rawandi (6th century) and Zahra al-Riyad and Nozha al-Qulob al-Miraz by Suleiman bin Dawood Saqsini, all with the same style. Attention is drawn to the prevalence of the preacher approach in the interpretation, the importance of the mystic and Sufi approach in interpreting the fourth to the sixth centuries, as well as the influence of the flow of commentary writing on the thoughts and works of Karamiya.
