The relationship between cooperative learning and academic motivation of high school students in Bafgh city

Abstract:

The descriptive research method is correlation type. The statistical population of the present study consists of all seventh grade female students of Bafgh city, their number is 700. The sample size was 248 randomly selected using Morgan's table. The research tools are two questionnaires of cooperative learning model of Chu and Bawli (2007) and academic motivation questionnaire of Aminifar and Saleh Sedghpour (2009). In order to measure the reliability, 30 copies of the questionnaire were given to the respondents as a trial, and after collecting the questionnaire and entering the data into the SPSS software, Cronbach's alpha coefficient of cooperative learning was 0.85 and academic motivation was 0.81. In order to analyze the data, inferential statistics such as Pearson's correlation coefficient test and regression with SPSS 20 software were used. The results of the research showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between cooperative learning and academic motivation of high school students in Bafgh city.
