Analysis of the manifestation of the idea of the Awaiting from the viewpoint of Imam Khomeini in the school of thought of General Soleimani and its comparison with the traditional viewpoint of the Ḥujjatiyeh Association
The epoch of the “Awaiting”, due to the disappearance of the infallible Imam- Imam Mahdi (pbuh), contains some specific requirements, in a way that the different perusals about the Promised savior and Awaiting have caused the emergence of different schools in the Shiˈite society. Among the different Shiˈa views about the issue of Awaiting as one of the concerns of the Shias, this article attempts to examine and compare two important views of the "Ḥujjatiyah association" before the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and the "School of General Qāsim Soleimani", as one of the fundamental branches of Imam Khomeini’s movement, which has institutionalized the principles of the idea of Awaiting after the Islamic revolution, and transformed the concepts of passive and individual Awaiting into a constructive and dynamic Awaiting, which, while paying attention to individuality, also means a social Awaiting. The following paper, in terms of time, takes a look at the years of the existence of the Ḥujjatiyah Association and the years of life of General Qāsim Soleimani, and also in terms of territory, it focuses on Iran, especially before and after the Islamic Revolution. According to this article, the era of the Awaiting has passed from the period of individual Awaiting. The individual Awaiting is the view of the Hujjatiyah Association relying on prayer and recourse in the form of a traditional Islam.With the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Awaiting has entered the period of a kind of social Awaiting based on Imam Khomeini’s view and trained students like General Soleimani in his school, who has built a school himself and implemented the foundation of the Appearance both individually and collectively in the global dimension. This paper has been written in a descriptiveanalytical form using the method of library collection and by using the documents, archives, and official and authentic researches.
