Analysis of the electoral system in the Islamic Republic of IranInvestigation of injuries and solutions

One of the important issues of the electoral system is recognizing its related harms. The purpose of this study is to identify the harms of the Iranian electoral system and provide effective solutions to eliminate these harms. For this purpose, the leading research seeks to answer the question, what are the harms of the electoral system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the solutions to solve it? To answer this question, the Delphi method was used and researchers, the views of 15 experts , In the field of elections were collected in three stages and in the form of a questionnaire. The views of experts were analyzed and the findings showed that the most important harms of the Iranian electoral system are the weakness and inadequacy of the election laws; The lack of a party-centered system in the elections and the lack of effective oversight of candidates' campaign expenses. Also, taking into account the conditions and characteristics of Iran, a serious review or re-drafting of the election law in full; Strengthening the party-centered system in the elections and efficient monitoring of the ceiling and the amount of candidates' propaganda expenses have been among the most important solutions proposed by experts to eliminate the harms of the Iranian elections.
