Estimation of economic value of tourism in rural areas of Ghaleh Rudkhan in Fooman township of Guilan province

Rural tourism is part of the tourism market and can be considered an important tool for the development of rural communities. So, valuation of this type of tourism can play an important role in improving the planning related to tourism development. Present research was aimed Estimation of economic value of tourism in rural areas of Ghaleh Rudkhan in Fooman township of Guilan province. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of method, it is survey and the type of descriptive-analytical which used Contingent Value Method (CVM) to evaluate tourism in the research. According to the Mitchell and Carson formula, 193 individuals were selected as the sample size of the study randomly. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for data collection. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed with the help of a group of professors from the Department of Agricultural Economics of Guilan University and experts of Guilan Cultural Heritage and tourism organization. Cronbach's alpha value of 0.85 indicates the reliability of the questionnaire. Result of Logit model showed that the amount of tourists 'willingness to pay has significantly and negatively correlated with the explanatory variables of the proposed price (-0.18), escape and rest (-0.44), and has significantly and positively correlated with the explanatory variables of age (0.22), attitude (0.98) and the existence of security and safety (0.68). The correct prediction percentage of the estimated model is 67%, which indicates the appropriate power of model prediction.
