Relationship between Social Bonding Components with Strengthening and Development of Nature-Oriented Multifunctional Complexes in Worn-Out Urban Textures, Case Study: Talkhdash Neighborhood of Shiraz
The purpose of this study is to determine the components affecting social bonding and to determine the significance of the relationship between these components by developing and strengthening nature-oriented multifunctional complexes in the Talkhdash neighborhood of Shiraz. Determining the indicators and sub-indicators related to each of the components and also determining the importance of each of these indicators from the point of view of the respondents is another goal of this article. This research is a questionnaire in terms of descriptive-survey nature and data collection tools. According to Cochran's formula, the sample size of 362 residents of Talkhdash neighborhood of Shiraz was obtained. By reviewing the theoretical foundations, the effective components of social bonding including "attachment to place", "commitment", "participation" and "belief" and then the indicators and sub-characteristics related to each of the components were determined. These components were considered as the criterion variable and the strengthening and development of the nature-oriented multifunctional set was considered as the predictor variable. The significance of the relationship between criterion and predictor variables was examined. Also, the importance of indicators related to each of the components was measured. Findings show that collective spaces have a special value and whatever components of social bonding are used in the field of architecture can reduce social harms. The more people appear in public spaces such as cultural and artistic centers and participate in its activities, the more factors such as attachment, commitment and belief of individuals and increase the identity of individuals. The results of this study indicate that the development and strengthening of the nature-oriented multifunctional complex, in addition to reviving and improving the social bond in the Talkhdash neighborhood of Shiraz, causes the growth and improvement of the quality of this tissue.
