Abstract:
Introduction

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional work and work-family conflict with the mediating role of job stress and modifiers of social support and independence in the work of female nurses in Iranshahr Hospital.

Methods

The study population consisted of 150 female nurses of Iranshahr Hospital who were selected by simple random sampling. To measure the variables studied in this study, Difendorf et al. (2005) Emotional Work Questionnaire, Carlson-Family Conflict Questionnaire (2000), HSE Job Stress Questionnaire (1990), Phillips Social Support Questionnaire (1986) and Jang Job 1995 (1995) ) used. The proposed model was evaluated through structural equation modeling (SEM) using SPSS and AMOS software version 22.

Results

The results of the study showed: 1. There is a significant relationship between emotional work and work-family conflict with the mediating role of job stress. 2. There is a significant relationship between emotional work and job stress. 3. There is a significant relationship between job stress and work-family conflict. 4. There is a significant relationship between emotional work and job stress with the moderating role of social support. 5. There is a significant relationship between emotional work and job stress with the moderating role of independence in work. 6. There is a significant relationship between emotional work and job stress with the moderating role of social support and independence in work.

Conclusion

According to the results, female nurses face many problems in their career and personal path, so it is necessary for managers to support them in these critical situations. Observing the job hierarchy, paying attention to the factors that create job insecurity, creating flexible working hours, trying to reduce potential risks in the workplace that in addition to affecting work-family conflict can affect other aspects such as mental health, physical health and motivation for Perform tasks and ... affect.
