Comparative Analysis the Point of View of Traditional Medicine about Liver Anatomy and Biliary Tract with Modern Medicine

Having information about liver anatomy as the basis of clinical discussions helps to better understand the treatment of diseases of this organ and finding the right and fast treatment for the patient. Comparative comparison makes remind the knowledge and efforts of old physician to recognize and treat diseases. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to compare the traditional medicine and modern medicine in anatomy of the liver and biliary tract.

In this article, the authentic texts of traditional medicine such as "Tashrih Tafarshi", "Avicenna's Al-Qanun ", " Teb Akbari "," Tashrih al-Abdan-e Mansouri ", " Khazaen al-Molouk " and " Zakhireye Khwarazmshahi " were investigated. In the selection of books, author's credibility and citation are taken into consideration. Descriptive materials were noted and collected. Then, it was adapted to the contents of modern medicine from Gray and Snell's anatomy books. Finally, differences and similarities were expressed in the form of comparison tables

The results of this research show that accurate anatomical descriptions and liver function have been made. The liver has a dark red covering membrane and it is on the right side and part of the upper abdomen, which is closed around with the ligament of alageh, aklili and mosalas. This gland has imen, iser, spijel and morba pieces. It also has the upper, lower, front and adjacent surfaces of the diaphragm, ribs, stomach, colon, duodenum, kidney and gall bladder. The gall bladder is pear-shaped and has a fem, median, neck and duct.
