Spiritual Development and Excellence of Student Leadership with the Growth System of Spiritual Leadership in the University: Prerequisites, Consequences and Strategies
The present study was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative approach with an exploratory design of categorization type. The research strategy is content analysis.
In addition to reviewing specialized texts, semi-structured interviews (more than 850 minutes) were used to collect data. Participants in the study consisted of 16 academic experts (faculty members of related fields and senior managers of related fields of the Central Organization of the Islamic Azad University and the Science and Research Branch) who were selected by purposive sampling. The number of participants was determined based on the principle of theoretical saturation. It has been used to analyze qualitative data through open and axial coding techniques to extract categories. The validity of the study was determined by the approval of experts in the field of spiritual leadership and student maturity and the reliability was determined by the method of agreement between the two coders 87.6%.
The results of the analyzes were the extraction of 368 open codes, 42 central codes and 31 categories. 10 main antecedents, along with the mechanism, 3 final strategies and 5 outcomes were formulated in the form of categories. The main strategies for the growth of spiritual leadership are strategic insights, educational strategies along with reviewing the mission and macro goals in this area.
The results show that significant outcomes in the university and students include: spirituality-oriented developed university, spiritual development of society and development of the country, recognition of identity and spiritual maturity of human beings, modeling of spiritual leadership in society, efficient organizations with growing intellectual, spiritual and human capital is. It is suggested that considering the long-term effects of the spiritual leadership development system on the excellence of the society, this system should be implemented and implemented based on academic capacities.
