The issue of the continuation of the war after the conquest of Khorramshahr is one of the important axes of the history of the holy defense, around which we are faced with different analyses. After more than three decades have passed since the adoption of Resolution 598, due to the lack of sufficient documentation and evidence and the presentation of incomplete or unjustified narratives, there is no clear picture of the historical process of the decision of the Imam and the system in this issue, and this has caused some political currents to oppose or The opposition will distort history and attack the Imam and challenge the logic of his leadership. The question of this article is, what was the Imam's point of view regarding the continuation of the war after the conquest of Khorramshahr, and what factors and events caused him to change his approach?This article is based on some historical evidences and documents to prove the claim that after listening to some arguments and seeing the consensus of the high political and military officials, this view changed according to the circumstances, the Imam's initial opinion about the end of the war.
