Sexual Restraint Methods at the Three Areas of Education with an Islamic ApproachEmphasizing on adolescence and youth periods
The current research was conducted with the aim of achieving sexual abstinence matters, considering the three dimensions of education from the perspective of Islam. This research is qualitative in terms of the type of data used and the information was collected by library method. The research data was analyzed using the content analysis method. Verses from the Qur'an, narrations and works of Muslim scientists related to the research topic were selected as the research community and targeted sampling was used. The findings indicate that sexual abstinence from the Islamic perspective is a psychological virtue that begins with self-knowledge, knowledge of existence and the creator of existence, and by creating self-worth and a positive attitude, it leads to control in one's behavior. Also, following the study of religious texts, fourteen codes were found as methods of acquiring this moral virtue. Four methods in the field of insight include rationality, continuous recall, memory of death, and imagination control. Four methods in the field of tendency include gratitude for blessings, activation of positive emotions, hidden camera and reinforcement of excitement and fear. The six methods of action include controlling input channels, being busy in achieving goals, regulating presence and solitude, managing communication and socializing, calculating and self-punishment-self-encouragement. Therefore, the methods mentioned in religious texts to prevent sexual behaviors, due to their comprehensiveness and preventive nature, can be a useful helper for people in overcoming sexual temptations, especially in adolescence and youth.
