The study of the relationship between Parenting Styles and Tendency to use drugs in adolescents 14 to 17 at City Ashkhaneh
Today, the core of a child's beliefs and perceptions of parental beliefs and behaviors is important, and by examining how children perceive parenting styles, we can see effective ways to engage in addictive behaviors. The aim of the crret study is investigating the trend of drug use among adolescents aged 14 to 17 years in Ashkhaneh city. The suvey method is used to conduct the research and research tools are including the Parenting Style standard quetionaire (Maryam Esmaeili Nasab Model) and tendency to duguse qestionnaie (constructed by researcher). Their reliability were obtained using Cronbach's test at 93% and 87%, respectively. The study population, which includes 2,400 boys and girls from high schools (secondary school) in the Mumbai area of Ashkhaneh city, which is 1300 boys and 1100 girls who cover the above age group, who were active studens in 1996. The statistical sample includes 331 people (according to Krejcie and Morgan's table) out of all boys and girls of high schools (secondary school) in Mumbai region of Ashkhaneh city. The samplin mehod is a relative classified random sampling method. By conducting correlation tests, the main hypothesis of this study was confirmed at 99% confidence level. This is to conclude that there is a significant relationship between rigid or assrtive parentng style, easy going parenting style, negligent or careless areting style and tendency to drug use with 99% confidence level.
