An analysis on the role of promoting social participation in the social vitality of the citizens of Bojnord city

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of promoting social participation in the social vitality of the citizens of Bojnord city. The current research is considered to be correlational in terms of applied purpose and descriptive research method. In order to collect data, Sadat Ahmadi Bejestani's standard social participation questionnaire (1993) and social vitality standard questionnaire were used. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by respected professors, and its reliability was obtained using the Cronbach's alpha formula of 0.91 for the social participation questionnaire and 0.78 for the social vitality questionnaire, respectively. The statistical population of this research included all the citizens of Bojnord between the ages of 18 and 50, numbering 347,000, and the statistical sample based on Cochran's formula; There are 384 people. In order to inferential analysis of the data obtained from measurement tools, spss software and correlation coefficient, multiple regression and Friedman test were used. The results show that social participation and its components have a positive and significant effect on social vitality. Also, according to Friedman's test, the highest mean of allocating to subjective responsibility and finally to objective responsibility were respectively. Therefore, the higher the amount of social participation at the formal and informal level in the society, the higher the level of social vitality will be.
