Investigating the role of urban green spaces in sustainable urban development

Today, with the development of cities and the introduction of the principle of sustainable development, attention to environmental issues and green cities has been increasingly questioned and paid attention to. The existing problems and problems, especially in the cities, indicate the failure to realize the characteristics of sustainability in them, In addition, spatial, ecological and environmental evaluation and analysis is one of the main characteristics of sustainability in urban areas and areas and it tries to provide a suitable urban environment for city residents. One of the solutions to achieve environmental sustainability is knowing the importance of green space and paying attention to it in order to achieve sustainable development criteria. The present article was prepared based on the descriptive-analytical method and its purpose is to review the results of Gonakun's research on the importance and role of green spaces in cities in order to achieve the criteria of sustainable urban development. The urban green space is one of the most important centers of welfare and recreational services, which, in addition to the health and psychological aspect, is of great importance in the sustainable development of the city.
