The Effect of the Iranian-Islamic Lifestyle on the Mental Health of the Retired Teachers of Selseleh City
The Islamic lifestyle, as a set of insights, attitudes, values and behavioral patterns and mental health, has a very high priority for the people of Iran in this era. The aim of the present research is to study the effect of Islamic lifestyle on the mental health of retired educators in Selseleh city.
The method of this research is a survey and the data collection tool is a standard questionnaire. The statistical population of the present study includes all educators in Selseleh city, and the statistical sample includes 145 educators who were selected by systematic random sampling.
The findings showed that there is a significant difference between the moral dimension of Islamic lifestyle and physical symptoms, anxiety and social functioning. A significant difference was seen between the social dimension of Islamic lifestyle and physical symptoms, anxiety and depression; however, there is no significant difference in the financial dimension and physical symptoms, social functioning and depression. Also, there is no significant relationship between the family dimension of Islamic lifestyle with anxiety, physical symptoms, social functioning and depression, and there is a significant relationship between the belief dimension of Islamic lifestyle and depression, anxiety, physical symptoms and social functioning. The results of this research indicate the effect of the Iranian-Islamic lifestyle on the mental health of the studied people. The findings of the research show that the mental health of the studied people is largely affected by their lifestyle, and if it is not paid attention to, it will lead to psychological damage.
