Explaining the Causal Relationship between Cognitive Emotion Regulation and Psychological Well-Being Based on the Mediating Role of Self-Differentiation in Students of Islamic Azad University of Tehran
The Purpose of this research was to explainthecausal relationships between cognitive regulation ofemotion and psychological well-being based ont hemediator role of self-differentiation.
The research method wasapplied according to the purpose and according to thecollection of correlational information. The statisticalpopulation of this research was male and female studentsof Tehran, Rudahen and Damavand units in differentstages in the academic year of 2014-2014. Among them,294 women and 132 men were selected from The finalsample of 426 people using the relative stratifiedsampling method. The research tools were Riff'spsychological well-being questionnaire (RSPWB),Luthans and Garnevski and Cruitch emotional cognitiveregulation (CERQ) and Skowron and Friedlander's SelfDifferentiation (DSI). The analysis of the research datawas correlation analysis and structural equations.
The results showed that the differentiation ofthe relationship between non-adaptive strategies ofcognitive regulation of emotion and psychological wellbeing was negative and The relationship betweenadaptive strategies of cognitive regulation of emotion andpsychological well-being was positive. It mediatespositively and meaningfully.
The training of students Is suggested inorder to increase self-regulation and self-differentiationand psychological well-being.
