Farrokhi and the Myths of Shahnameh

Abstract:
Farrokhi Yazdi was an anti-despotism liberal poet whose spirits of chivalry finally cost him his life. He is the subject of the present article which studies his thoughts and philosophy and how influenced he was by Ferdousi’s Shahnameh. Referring to mysticism and ethics as well as xesthetic aonsiderations of nature, the article also seeks for the degree of Farrokhi’s drawing upon the myths in Shahnameh.
