Strategic Planning for Enhancing the Social Quality of Mehr Housing Complex (Hashtgerd Mehr Housing)

The social dimension in discussions related to sustainable development is one of the most vital pillars, as it directly impacts people’s lifestyles. This study aims to provide strategies to improve the social quality of the Mehr Hashtgerd residential complex from the perspective of experts and specialists in this field. The research was conducted using SWOT and QSPM techniques. Initially, internal and external factors were assessed and scored, with internal factors receiving a score of 2.37 and external factors a score of 2.3. After forming the matrix, it was placed in the WT quadrant. In the next stage, each strategy was assigned an attractiveness score. Subsequently, these strategies were analyzed and evaluated based on their importance and necessity. The first strategy, “Enhancing supervision and control in the space,” received a score of 2.09, while the second strategy, “Creating and strengthening sub-neighborhood centers and pause and seating areas,” received a score of 1.27. The third strategy, “Restricting access to quiet areas of the buildings,” received a score of 1.18, and the fourth strategy, “Establishing social activities and local meetings,” received a score of 0.79. The results of this study indicate that planning for strengthening spatial control and supervision is a crucial aspect of this research.
