The effect of empathic concern on anticipated positive behavior and financial performance with the mediating role of psychological well-being of employees of Etka
Financial performance is considered as one of the most important success criteria of a business organization. Empathy and positive behavior of employees and psychological well-being are effective factors in achieving high financial performance. The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of empathic concern on the expected positive behavior and financial performance with the mediating role of psychological well-being of employees of Atka stores in Isfahan city. This research was applied and descriptive survey method. The statistical population included 135 employees of Etka stores in Isfahan city, of which 100 were selected by simple random sampling. Using financial performance questionnaires by Lee et al. (2006), empathic concern questionnaire, anticipated positive behavior and psychological well-being by Kim et al. (2022), necessary information was collected and analyzed using structural equation model and PLS3 software. The results showed that empathic concern has a significant effect on psychological well-being with a path coefficient of 0.221 and positive behavior with a path coefficient of 0.664 at the 0.05 level, but the mediating role of psychological well-being in the effect of empathic concern (Z=1.236) and positive behavior Predicted (Z=1.513) on financial performance was not significant at 0.05 level. Empathic concern is more motivated to seek meaningful ways to enhance positive self-perceptions in the workplace. Therefore, sales managers should emphasize the support of employees and their relationships with each other according to ethical principles.
