Abstract:
Objective

The main objective in this research is to examine the effect of workload on performance of employees through work stress in the organization of libraries, museums and Document Center Astan Quds Razavi.

Methodology

The method used in this research is a quantitative study. The questionnaire has been tested for validity and reliability and distributed to 112 librarians and employees. The measurement tools in this research are: Standard workload questionnaire Mansour(2016), Work stress questionnaire Hellrigal and Slocum and performance evaluation questionnaire Parker(2000). SmartPLS software is used to process data from research results.

Findings

The findings of this study have several practical implications. First, the research has emphasized that workload is one of the factors affecting the performance of employees. Second, this study emphasizes that work stress is one of the factors affecting employee performance. work stress in the researched field of work shows that if anxiety is not removed, it can have harmful effects and job stress that occurs can weaken performance. Also, the workload has a significant effect on performance, the more the workload increases, the performance of employees decreases.

Conclusion

The results of the study are that there is a negative effect and significant impact of workload on performanc (t = 3.652), there is a positive and significant impact influence of workload on work stress (t = 11.357), there is negative effect and significant impact from work stress on employee performance (t = 5.157), there is a negative effect significant impact of workload on performance through work stress on purchasing employees (t = 4.100).
