Typology of Social Media Platforms in Accepting Cultural Understanding
The aim of this research is to provide criteria for determining the capacity of social media platforms to accept cultural understanding.
Data collection was conducted through library studies, and an analytical-descriptive approach was used for data processing.
This research introduces the interactive environment provided by social media platforms, which manifests in various features and capabilities, as a means for intercultural interaction and considers it a starting point in the process of cultural understanding. Additionally, by looking at the honeycomb model of social media, relevant characteristics related to cultural understanding were selected and explained.
The results of this research include identifying and typologizing the platform capacities of social media in creating or negating cultural understanding.
