The relationship between emotional intelligence and flight performance of Air Force pilots of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Determining the relationship between emotional intelligence and flight performance of Nahaja pilots
The type of applied research was descriptive research and the mixed research approach was chosen and the method of data collection was field and library. In the qualitative method, classification, processing and judgment steps were used, and in the quantitative method, descriptive statistics (calculation of mean, variance, coefficient of variation) and inferential statistics (chi-2 test) were used. The statistical population includes fighter and transport pilots in the air force bases of the army, and using Cochran's formula, a sample size of 80 people was selected from the statistical population using stratified random sampling.
After the qualitative analysis, regarding the relationship between the components and the flight performance of the pilots, 40 indicators were identified in five components including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, social skill and self-motivation.
Originality:
According to the inferential analysis of the chi-square test and taking into account the critical value and the obtained test statistic, it was determined that there is a difference between the indicators presented in the self-awareness component (including 8 indicators), the self-management component (including 10 indicators), and the social awareness component (including 6 indicators), the social skill component (including 11 indicators) and the self-motivation component (including 5 indicators) and the flight performance of Air Force pilots are related.
