Investigating and recognizing the reasons for the lack of tendency of the majority of high school students to continue their education in technical and professional training courses and learning skills.(case study : the Shahid Motahari TVTO of Rasht and the Imam Khomeini school of Sangar)
The aim of this research is investigating and recognizing the reasons for the lack of tendency of the majority of high school students to learn skills and choose technical and professional training courses. This research has a practical approach by content analysis method and survey type size is 346 people. The statistical population of this research consists of students and apprentices in the mechanic workshops of the Shahid Motahari TVTO of Rasht and the Imam Khomeini school of Sangar. The method and tool for collecting information in the qualitative part is in the form of interviews and the researcher-made questionnaire. The quantitative part includes the statistical methods for analyze the information are based on the use of T-test and Spss software. The research results showed that various factors such as not paying enough attention to the value and importance of vocational technical education and skill training in the society, not having enough information about job benefits in the field of mechanics, the negative attitude of the family and society towards this field and not having proper and up to date equipment and facilities for practical training in this field, may reduce the interest of students. To solve these problems, suggestions such as public education about the value and importance of technical vocational education, providing detailed and complete information about the career path in the field of mechanics, changing the attitude of the family and society towards this field, and improving practical training equipment and facilities are effective in this field.
