Abstract:

Explanation of the epic and lyrical themes in the clothing of the paintings of the Lslamic era( case study; Al Boyeh period “textiles”). The literature and art of a nation is one of the most important foundations of that nation's culture, which can be very effective for its recognition. The history of Iranian art shows that one of its main sources of inspiration was the rich Persian literature and that there was a close relationship between them. A large part of the works of art were created in continuous exchange with literature. In this regard, an attempt is made to analyze the epic and lyrical themes by focusing on the paintings and analyzing the existing designs on their garments with a qualitative approach, and to answer the following question: To what extent have the epic and lyrical themes in the garments within the paintings during the Islamic period, i.e. Al Boyeh, been explained? It is believed that epic concepts such as exaggeration, simplicity and variety were used in the clothing motifs of this period. The results obtained demonstrate that the structure of the paintings is derived from the concepts visible in them and that there is always an inextricable link between poetry, poet and illustration and the explanation of the elements used is definitely effective when revising the works.
