Abstract:
Among the closed and mysterious things mentioned in the Holy Quran is the emergence of a creature called "Dabah al-Arz" from the heart of the earth that speaks to people. "Daba" means "living thing", includes any kind of living thing, both human and non-human. The Holy Quran sometimes uses this word alone and sometimes in the context of another word such as "earth"; It is mentioned as "Daba Man Al Arz" and it is introduced as a living creature that appears on the earth at the threshold of resurrection and speaks to people. But the Holy Qur'an does not mention anything about determining the example and concept of "Daba Al-Arz". Therefore, it is necessary to research and examine the views of commentators in determining the examples of this word. This research seeks to analyze and investigate the point of view of the commentators in the interpretations of "Ruz Al-Jinan" and "Al-Kashaf" regarding the expression of the concept and example of "Daba Al-Arz" using a descriptive-analytical method. The results of the research show that although these two There are many differences in the interpretations of "Daba Al-Arz". But they have common views on several points: a) "Daba Al-Arz" is an unusual non-human living and moving creature that will emerge in the end of time. b) The departure of "Daba Al-Arz" is one of the signs of the Day of Resurrection. c) His departure place is Masjid al-Haram, Mount Safa, etc.
