The effect of family incivility on deviant behaviors in the workplace through work-family conflict and work-family enrichment

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family incivility on deviant behaviors in the workplace through work-family conflict and work-family enrichment. The present study was applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive in terms of correlational data collection. The statistical population of the present study consisted of all the employees of the universities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces in the number of 2200 people, and 600 people were selected as a sample through the stratified random sampling method through the Cochran formula.The research tools are Lim and Tay's (2014) family incivility standard questionnaire, Robinson and Bennett's (1999) standard workplace deviant behavior questionnaire, Carlson and Karmar's (2000) work-family conflict standard questionnaire, and Carlson and Karmar's (2000) standard work-family enrichment questionnaire. colleagues (2006) that the validity of the questionnaires was examined based on content, form and construct validity and after the necessary terms, the validity was confirmed and on the other hand, the reliability of the questionnaires was 0.80, 0.85, 0.88 respectively with Cronbach's alpha method. 0 and 0.88 were estimated and data analysis was done using structural equation modeling.The findings showed that family incivility had a positive effect on deviant behaviors in the workplace, the coefficient of which was 0.65, and work-family conflict and work-family enrichment in the relationship between family incivility and deviant behaviors in the workplace, as mediating variables.
