Necessity of using pilots plants by chemical engineers before designing industrial plants

In this paper, different aspects of a pilot plant are investigated. The main purpose of this investigation is to obtain design and construction procedures, basic rules in the start-up, cost, types, optimum scale selection, and safety aspect also construction materials and location and the following items are emphasized. 1- Close co-operative between chemical engineers and chemists form the beginning of pilot plant activity.2- Reducing of construction and operation of an industrial/plant costs with construction of pilot plants.3- Optimum scale selection of pilot plant.4- Safety aspects on design, construction and operation of pilot plants
