"Study on topical, linguistic, and literary levels of Rabi’s Ali-Nameh"
Ali-Nameh, the first Shia epopee (epic poem) discovered and introduced in recent years by Persian literature scholars, has opened up new horizons for researchers working on religious epic. The present study aims to analyse this epopee on topical, linguistic, and literary levels.This article employs a descriptive, analytic research method and based on library studies. Statistical population of this study, was Ali-Name, edited by Bayat and Gholami. Following an in-depth investigation, the existing samples in this epopee was sorted, discussed, from the three above-mentioned perspectives. This study conducted a stylistic analysis of the outstanding linguistic, literary and ideological features of Rabi’s poems. The study identifies these features along with characteristic examples and outstanding results have been illustrated at the end of this article. The results of this study show that, at the topical level, the sources of Ali-Nameh proved more reliable and were much in line with historical accounts. Linguistically, had some weak points in terms of word range and coherent grammatical structures and problems in rhythm and rhyme. At the literary level, enjoyed more simple rhetorical and expressive figures of speech.
