Prevalence emergency events and the kinds of drugs & emergency equipment in Tabriz Dental offices in 1381

Procedural accidents as dental emergencies in dental treatments are the most unfortunate. That a dentist may experiment while his service duration. because of their nature they put the dentist and the patient in a position where if they are not been cared carefully, might be fallowed by undesirable results. The purposes of this study were: 1- Prevalence of these emergencies in dental offices. 2- Presence of emergency drugs and equipments in dental office. 3- Dentists need for applied training and skills in these conditions. Methods & Materials: In this descriptive study, a number of 36 dental offices were selected Randomly in Tabriz Most of the dentists were general practitioner. The study was done by giving questionnaire.

About 78 % of dentists take place in this study, and fill the questionnaire, orthostatic hypertension and vasodepressor syncope were the most common emergencies. Some appliances like suction, Serum set were the most used. Majority of the dentists (80%) want more dental emergency management training.

The dental emergencies happen in dental offices so there is on obvious and distinct need to train a dentist how to manage these emergencies.
