Carelessness, Main Problem Facing Religious Faith

Carelessness means inattention to religious teachings and is a very dangerous problem that threatens the religious society. This problem has been on the rise in our society due to efforts made by enemies after victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The author has first explained about religious carelessness before seeing into its historical backgrounds and studying various types of religious carelessness in our time as well as its features. The author believes that three factors affect emergence and spread of religious carelessness, which include: 1. ideological factors, 2. psychological factors, and 3. sociological factors. Believing in kindness of God and sufficing to love of Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) progeny are among ideological factors; pessimism toward religious teachings is a major psychological factor while globalization, poverty, and class differences are among major sociological factors that have been discussed in this paper. Some solutions have been offered at the end of the paper.
