Estimation of CO2 emissions, its recoverable sources and method of recovery in Iran

Carbon dioxide is one of the most important and abundant greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which is mainly produced as a result of using fossil fuels and other man activities. Since, greenhouse gases have many adverse effects on our environment, several methods have been proposed for reducing their level in atmosphere.In this article, the approximate level of CO2 in the country from various sources is determined and a comparison is made between several countries. It was concluded that in spite of low contribution of Iran to CO2 emission, the ratio of CO2 emission (in kg) to national gross production (in $) in Iran is 8 times that of USA, and this fact must be investigated by the directors in energy sector.Also, the most suitable method of CO2 recovery and more suitable sources for recovery is discussed briefly.
