Analyzing Simultaneousness of Supply and Demand System Equations of Meats in Iran

Regarding livestock industry development, it is necessary to focus on the backward and forward linkages of effective variables in a demand and supply system. In this way, policy makers can help the industry to continue their activities in appropriate development path. So, specification of a complete system in such an industry will help to state the interactions and linkages between the important variables. This study deals with the supply and demand of meat for the period of 1971-2001, in which simultaneous and unsimultaneous equation systems have been analyzed. The results show that the unsimultaneous equations have been performed on meat equation system in Iran. So, making policy based on simulaneous equation system results can cause wrong payoffs.
