Landuse Planning on Southern Slopes of Goosheh Dagh with an Emphasis on the Role of Hydrography of Salt Domes

Salt domes that are studied in Goosheh dagh region, donot fit within the framework of drainage basin and/or urban boundaries.Accordingly, the sample have been selected randomly. We have focused on natural characteristics of the study area initially, followed by the study of pedology, the landuse of saline surfaces, the general trend of erosion and deposition and vegetation cover. The main goals of this study are: The analysis of salty and fresh water segregation in Aji-Chai River basin, and finding the soil quality correction methods. Following are the correction measures of hydrographic networks of salt domes:-The estabilishment of large dams at the entrance of saline courses into fresh waters, and-The prevention of salinity of groundwaters.The results of studying the hydrography of salt domes on southern slopes of Goosheh Dagh indicate that if the salinity of main stream is prevented, we could irrigate vast areas for cultivation which will have positive effects on the economy of the area.
