The Analysis of Mud Volcanoes and Evaluation of their Economic Effects and their Imminent Dangers

Mud volcano is a unique natural phenomenon which is common in most parts of the earth. It usually appears in a cone-shaped mud comprising of hot water, gas and petroleum hydrocarbons, mud and microlithic sediments. The mud may commonly slowly flow or sometimes erupt out of one or several mouths and it spreads out gradually on its slope. Methane is usually a concurrent element as far as a mud volcano is concerned. It is an easily flammable gas. Sometimes, sulfurous gases and hot water are produced by mud volcanoes. In principle, certain specific materials and procedures are used for doing a successful research, and the researchers apply these materials or procedures considering their specific purposes. In this study, at first some library sources were studied and the information was collected and juxtaposed with the author’s fifteen years of field work on Iran and Malaysia mud volcanoes
