Application of International Humanitarian Law in Recent Gaza Conflicts

During the three-week conflict in Gaza Strip, basic rules of international humanitarian law have been seriously violated. Among those are violation of “Prohibition of Collective Punishment” and the “Law of Occupation”, “International Humanitarian Law”, and the principle of “Individual Responsibility”, which contains “Aggravated Responsibility” for the Zionist Regime.Whereas international society was expecting states` and main international bodies` reaction to the situation, they didnt get success in decreasing the gravity of situation and also obligating parties failed to observe international humanitarian law.
