Abstract:
A phosgene-free synthesis of symmetrical N,N-disubstituted ureas by thereaction of aromatic and aliphatic primary amines and urea promoted by microwaveirradiation in the presence of a suitable energy-transfer solvent such as N,N-dimethyl-acetamide is described.
