Effect of carp Cyprinus carpio wild (sea) broodstock stocking density on survival and some of growth parameters larvae and fingerlings in earthen ponds

In this study, the effect of stocking density in four treatments of 250, 300, 350 and 400 brood stock/h on some parameters of growth larvae and fingerlings of sasan (Cyprinus carpio) to 8-10 gr in earthen ponds was determined during 5 months in bony fish propagation center (Sijaval). Ponds fertilized with manure, for enrichment of live foods. Injected broodstock introduced to ponds in 4 different stocking density (250, 300, 350 and 400 broodstock/h) at a 2:1 male to female. Sampling of larvae and fingerlings were done every 15 days and in each sampling 100 spesiment from each pond were taken. For each fish determined some parameters of growth mean individual weight and lenght. Final individual weight means fingerlings in four treatments were calculated 8.64±0.23, 8.65±0.38, 9.97±0.52 and 8.45±0.66, respectively, and was significantly significant (P<0.05) between 3th treatment with others groups. No significant difference found in condition factor (K) between fingerlings in four treatments, but was significantly significant (P<0.05) between fingerlings of 3th treatment with others groups. In case of special growth rate (%SGR), no significant difference (P<0.05) found between fingerlings of treatments. The results of study suggest that larvae and fingerlings stocked at 350 brood/h appear to be most suitable stocking density rearing. There is no significant (P<0.05) to survival rate in both stage (larvae or fingerling).
